Countdown: Less than one month untill the Global Grand Challenges Summit!

The 13th of February only means one thing here at the GGCS camp…there is now less than one month to go till the Summit!

After many months of joint planning between the US National Academy of Engineering (NAE), the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE) and the Royal Academy of Engineering (RAEng), the Summit is almost ready to go…

Over 450 of today’s leading engineers, entrepreneurs, collaborators, educators and policy makers from across the globe will meet in London on the 12-13 March to debate what really needs to be done to overcome the political inertia surrounding many of the world’s most pressing challenges, and together take the first steps towards building a global collaborative framework focused on tackling these grand challenges.

The Summit will consist of 6 sessions – Sustainability, Health, Education, Enriching life, Technology and Growth and Resilience, with each session bringing together leaders in each respective field to have an open, forward thinking discussion  with the Summit’s audience about realising our social and technological goals.

We are also delighted to announce that there will be plenary addresses at the Summit from Dr Craig Venter, Founder, the J. Craig Venter Institute, and Bill Gates, Co-chair and Trustee, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

For more information on speakers and timings please see the blog’s programme and speaker pages.
